Hello,
I have a lot of pachysandra invading a garden space full of ferns and grasses. I've been meaning to transplant it to another area that could really use it to fill in, but I am wondering if it is too late in the season to do this. Would I be better off waiting until spring?

It's probably fine to move it now, but we have limited information on its ideal transplanting time since it's an invasive species and we don't recommend growing it. (We presume you have the Japanese Spurge, Pachysandra terminalis, since that is much more common in landscaping, and more of an aggressive spreader, than the Eastern-U.S. native Allegheny Spurge, Pachysandra procumbens.)
Any time of year that you decide to transplant/move it, make sure you check on the root moisture regularly as it re-establishes, since it will have less tolerance for drought or dry spells until it regrows enough of a root system.
