Hello,
I've been dealing with root mealybugs for over a year now and I'm about ready to give up. I think I initially got them from a grocery store orchid.
I've tried removing them with a tip and peroxide or alcohol. I've watered them with a peroxide solution. I've tried bonide. I've looked into other chemical options and they seem to mostly be for the outdoors.
What if anything can I possibly do to save my plants? Or do I just burn them in a fire?

Tjey are hard to get rid of. However you can do it. Remove your plants from the soil and wash them with insecticidal soap. Wash tops and undersides of leaves and the stems and roots. Don't miss any area. Then, get new pots and throw the old ones away. Any drainage saucers and the shelf or wwhatever the pots sat on must also be cleaned. Finally used fresh potting soil.
