Mushrooms #945469

I have a recurring problem with mushroom that are hard and mostly flat. They seem to spread I’ve tried to dig them out which leaves rather large holes, but they continue to grow. I’ve attached some photos. I’ve done research and unable to understand what these are and why I have this issue. Thanks!!

HI Kathy,

Mushrooms grow on decaying material underground, including the rotting roots of long-gone trees, thick thatch or even buried construction material.

If these bother you you can rake them out but that won’t prevent more from popping up. You’ll stop seeing them when the buried material has decayed.
