Grape plant bugss #945311

Asked September 17, 2026, 5:52 PM EDT

Hello, I have pictures of my grape leaves rolled with spider like webbing. Can you help me identify what is causing it and how to treat? I think I have several problems as I also have found a green "tomato worm" type worm as well on my plants. I am so seeing browning of the leaves.

Expert Response

This type of damage is from leafroller moths. They can defoliate leaves but usually do not feed on the fruit. This one is most likely grape leaffolder moth. I would recommend plucking off these affected leaves. Insecticides will not be effective, since they cannot easily penetrate the rolled leaf surface.

Tomato hornworms can be picked right off the plants.
