These started falling onto our patio either from the roof or from a tree about a week ago. They run from very small to the bigger size as in the photo. They all have distinctive lines that look like parentheses. There are maybe 25 per day and when they get wet they spread a stain that won't come out of our paver patio. The third photo is when I put one on a wet paper towel and this is the stain they make.
