How can I retrim my burning bush to make it round again #941156

How can I trim my burning bush to make it round again, because my guy cut the sides off and it looks skeletal. Should I cut the top off and hope? The two ends eventually come together.Or should I just leave it?Alone? Right now there's too much on top and a little bit on the bottom. I wanted to be full of leaves again when I look out my window.
