Tomato plant wilted/curled leaves #937994

Asked July 04, 2026, 2:34 PM EDT

The leaves on my tomato plants all are wilted and curl up. I planted tomatoes in the same area for years and haven’t had this problem before. I did prune lower leaves more this year than previously so don’t know if that’s why. I also put on 10-10-10 all purpose fertilizer when I put the plants in and about 2 and a half weeks later. Radishes and cucumbers in the same garden area and were fertilized at same time appear to be doing well.

Thank you for writing.
The angle of the picture is hard to read.  Could you give me a level on picture of the plant, instead of downlooking shot?  I need a picture of the bottom six inches of the plant and a midlevel horizontal picture.

Infection, herbicide drift, too much sun.
Most authorities recommend rotating the location of plants in vegetable gardens. https://yardandgarden.extension.iastate.edu/faq/why-it-important-rotate-crops-vegetable-garden

Leaf roll or sunscald and herbicide injury are possible with the information that I have. https://extension.umn.edu/garden-problems/tomato-disorders
UV cloth can prevent sun scald.

Please send the pictures that I mentioned above,
