Hi Rachel,
Thank you for your question about Oxeye Daisy being an invasive weed. Oxeye Daisy is considered a “C” rated noxious weed in Central Oregon.
"Noxious Weed" means any weed designated by the Deschutes County Board of County Commissioners (“Board”) that is injurious to public health, agriculture, recreation, wildlife, or any public or private property; any weed that impacts and displaces desirable vegetation, such as Threatened and Endangered plant species, wildlife habitat, and livestock.”
A "C" designated weed is a weed that has the potential to cause economic or ecological harm to agriculture, recreation, wildlife and transportation systems. Distribution is widespread in the County, region or State, therefore eradication is unlikely and treatment is a lower priority.
Action: Control and monitoring by the landowner is recommended.
