Cherry tree dropping non-ripened fruit #934892

Asked June 09, 2026, 6:01 PM EDT

I have a Minnesota variety cherry tree (can’t recall the name). It was loaded with blossoms this year and that followed with lots of cherries. Within the last week it’s started dropping a bunch of non-ripened cherries on the ground. It’s never done that before. Looking for insights and possible corrective action.

Expert Response

Sounds like this is actual a normal reaction , likely related in this case to our unusual heat.
