Thank you for contacting Ask Extension. This looks like a leaf from a tree in the pear family. I believe it is a Callery Pear (Bradford). If that is the case, this tree is banned in MIchigan, not to be sold anymore because of it's invasiveness. Bradford pears are a type of Callery pear that when planted years ago were considered sterile plants. Bradford pears develop bad branch angles that eventually caused trees to break apart. So newer types of Callery pears were put into landscapes and they began to pollinate each other and now what was once a sterile plant has fruit that is viable and has the potential to spread.
