yard consultation? #933157

Hi, I was just curious if any master gardeners provide home yard consultations? If not, are there about horticulturists that I can contact for this service? We recently moved into a new house and the back yard and surrounding tree areas are a mess, including sunny invasive plants and weeds. We didn't know where to start. We're looking for ideas and direction. Thanks!

You can contact your county Extension office's Bay-Wise program to ask if a site consultation is possible/available. Outside of that program, site visits aren't something MGs can provide, but you could consider hiring Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional, as they have training in sustainable landscaping. Experienced landscapers and landscape designers should also be able to provide guidance and a site visit, but we don't compile a list of companies or recommend particular businesses. You can also bring plant samples or photos for ID to a local Master Gardener plant clinic, where they MGs can also share removal options.
