Fruit Tree Issues #932711

We started planting fruit trees about 5 years ago. We have had some success with our fruit trees, but we have had several fruit trees die. We have also planted shade trees (such as maple, flowering crab, etc.) and they are all doing very well. We would like advice as to what can be done to help our fruit trees thrive.

Greetings.  Without a better idea of what types of trees  and what you know about why they died, what I can do it point you to a couple resources and give a general response.  

Some types of fruit trees are hardier than others in our climate.   Additionally, proper planting and care are important especially in the first years.  With the drought we've experienced the last few years,  I suspect that was part of the problem.
