Bosnian pine needles #931371

Asked May 11, 2026, 4:39 PM EDT

Our Bosnian Pine is about 12 years old. Always green and healthy, it gets evergreen fertilizer every spring. But this spring it’s had more brown needles than usual. I have recently (1) fertilized as usual, (2) cleared old needles on ground, away from trunk, (3) given it a couple of deep waterings, and (4) brushed out a lot of brown needles. The pictures below were taken after those four steps. It is getting candles so it seems healthy, I guess. We have a second Bosnian Pine (not shown) that is a couple of years younger, is just fine, no extra brown needles. Question is whether there is any problem, or potential problem, with our Bosnian Pine. Fungus? Other? If fungus, how treat?
