Need advice on permanent bamboo removal on a difficult site in Baltimore City. Is there literature on this?

Containing and Removing Bamboo
Eradication is only possible if you have access to the entire patch/clump/colony of the bamboo. If some of it is on a property you can't access or aren't allowed to dig out or treat with herbicide, then the plant will continue to regrow. Successful eradication of a large infestation may take several years of manual or manual + chemical removal efforts, though it really depends on how easy (or not) it will be to dig out rhizomes (without damaging any desirable plants in that area, given that trench-digging machinery may be needed) and/or how easy or affordable it is to apply systemic herbicide to kill the plant's roots.
