I work for Saint Paul - Ramsey County Public Health Department, but I used to work at Hennepin County Ext. office with Terry Straub! Currently, I am the coordinator for the Trusted Messenger Initiative at RC and support local organizations partners in their community connections. Our partner, The Sanneh Foundation, is hosting Earth Day and Community Activation event at the Conway Recreation Center on Wednesday, April 22nd from 3:00p - 7:00p.Trickster Taco will provide free food for the community. There will be a park cleanup and a variety of activities centered on gardening, movement, and the wellness benefits of connecting with nature. They will also provide information about local BIPOC movement clubs, and to encourage engagement, there will be a "community resource passport" that allows attendees to enter a raffle for gardening and sports gear. Are you able to donate items or resources for the raffle: gardening gloves, recycled containers for potting, hand tools, watering cans, gardening starter kits, soil tests (UMN Ext?), buckets for container gardening, red wigglers, seeds, gardening books, or anything else that could be useful!
