We are an elderly couple in Andover with a fairly large garden devoted primarily to flowers but also some raspberries and blueberries. We are seeking assistance in managing these gardens and in transitioning some of them to mulch and shrubs. We would appreciate guidance in finding reliable gardening help this summer.

Referrals are often the best way to find reliable help. Local resources like “Nextdoor” or posting requests at a local garden center can be effective. One can contact the county master gardener coordinator and ask for a volunteer. There are many more requests for volunteers than a program can fill but one can get lucky.
