Tips on growing turmeric? #924586

A friend loves turmeric leaves and asked me if I could try to grow turmeric for the foliage. I see that I could but the rhizomes from a few sources, but I’m unsure what to do once I plant them. Can you advise me? Thank you!

Thank you for writing.
Here are the instructions.  Note MN is zone 5a, far too cold for this plant. It has too be grown indoors with a well drained, heated and LED lit box.
