Hello.
I would like to know how to obtain a soil test kit for a garden bed in my yard. I have used a kit from the OSU extension service in the past. At a talk at the Cuyahoga County Public Library this week, we were instructed to go to Soiltest.umass.edu to determine the quality of our soil. I want to know if this is the appropriate resource to test the quality of our soil.

I suggest you reach out to the Cuyahoga County extension office. They can give you specifics on how they conduct soil sample testing. In addition to giving you information on how to properly collect the samples, they can give you information on the paperwork, cost and the expected turnaround time.
Another great thing about going through the extension office is that they will help you interpret the results and determine if any actions need to be taken, depending on what you plan to grow.
